As Easter approaches, we start to see egg ideas everywhere.

“Oo, I really like those curtains, they’d make a great egg!”

“Would you mind if I just take a quick photo of your shirt/dress/undies? I want to paint that pattern on this year’s egg”

Sometimes the inspiration comes from events that have happened over the year. We have wedding eggs, birthday eggs, baby eggs and holiday eggs.

There are series of eggs that have evolved naturally – there are a surprising number of eyeballs! – and others, like my father’s ‘colour’ series that are intentional.
