Sometimes simplicity is the perfect thing.

My sister Kathy decorated this egg, back in 1984. Now the thing about Kathy was that she was quite the artist and produced some beautifully detailed eggs. For this one, though, it was all about the teggnique.

Simple flowers have been drawn onto a plain egg using children’s crayons, then the egg has been dipped into a glorious red dye.

The effect is simple, but lovely.
